About Amy
Hi! I'm Amy. I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. I have a profound appreciation for our city's unique landscapes and the Charlotte area's hidden gems. On Fridays, I almost always visit my favorite taco truck for lunch.
My parents met working for the airlines, and since Charlotte is an airport hub, I've been able to travel extensively. I love traveling and I am on a quest to visit all our nation's incredible national parks.
Outside of work, you will likely find me enjoying the great outdoors. Birding, hiking, or cruising on my ebike through Charlotte's neighborhoods are my three favorite things to do. I almost always have a small spotting scope with me (just in case a cool bird shows up). When I've got a little bit more time, I like riding greenways to the South Carolina state line or through small towns in the North Carolina and Tennessee mountains. North Carolina has so many incredible hiking and biking trails. The longer, the better!
One of my passion projects is gardening. My yard isn't just a garden though. It's a certified wildlife habitat where I nurture a diverse array of native plants and cultivate dozens of species of fruits and vegetables. My front yard meadow is coming along nicely, and it strikes up a lot of conversations with curious neighbors.
